After attending elementary school in Tokyo, Dr. Awosika finished high school in Nigeria and attended University of Lagos Teaching Hospital College of Medicine, receiving two Bachelor Degrees. After interning at the Port of Spain Hospital in Trinidad, he practiced for a year in England before completing his residency and fellowship at New York's North Shore University Hospital and St. John Hospital in Detroit. Dr. Awosika is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Nephrology and Lifestyle Medicine. He lives in Central Florida and has 3 kids, Olajire, Obatimilehin and Obasindara. “We become what we eat” says Dr. Awosika and so he has a wellness program with an in-house Wellness Coach who helps patients modify their eating habits and lifestyle. He graduated from King Edward Medical University in Pakistan in 2000 and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital in Pakistan. Dr. Malik further expanded his expertise with a year of Nephrology Research at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN (2006-2007). In 2012, Dr. Malik relocated to Florida, where he joined the West Orange Nephrology team in July 2013, where he continues to provide exceptional care to his patients. Outside of his medical career, Dr. Malik enjoys spending time at the gym, watching games and movies, and most importantly, hanging out with his family. He is married to his wife, a veterinarian, and together they have two children.
