OUR SERVICES

Ultrasound Diagnostic

Renal Artery Doppler Ultrasound
Renal artery ultrasound is a test that shows the renal arteries, the arteries that carry blood to the kidney. These arteries may narrow or become blocked and this may result in kidney failure or high blood pressure (hypertension).

Diagnostic Renal Ultrasound
Renal Ultrasound can detect cysts, tumors, obstructions, fluid collection, and infection within or around the kidneys. Calculi (stones) of the kidneys and ureters may be detected by ultrasound.

Diagnostic Bladder Ultrasound
Measure post-void residual urine volume

Hemodialysis Access Doppler Ultrasound
Scans the graft or fistula, evaluates the inflow artery and the entire length of the access, all the way to the outflow vein for an overall appreciation of anatomy. Gives access volume flows measurements of the hemodialysis vascular access providing better information of the graft or fistula to see if is working properly.

Upper Extremity Vein Mapping Ultrasound and Upper Extremity Arterial Doppler Ultrasound
The ultrasound examination for dialysis access planning is designed to gather information about both the arterial system and the venous system. It is important to understand the procedure and surgical techniques to be used by the local dialysis access surgeon(s) to obtain information tailored to the technique. Both arms can be mapped in their entirety, or a more focused preoperative mapping can be performed that concludes when vessels adequate for
AVF formation are found.

Lower Extremity Venous Doppler Ultrasound
The most common reason for a venous ultrasound exam is to search for blood clots, especially in the veins of the leg. This condition is often referred to as deep vein thrombosis or DVT. Also determine the cause of long-standing leg swelling. In people with a common condition called “varicose veins” or vein insufficiency, the valves that keep blood flowing back to the heart in the right direction may be damaged.

Lower Extremity Arterial Doppler Ultrasound
An Arterial Doppler study shows blocked or reduced blood flow through the major arteries of your legs

What Our Patients Say…

Don’t take our word about our exceptional customer service. We have a reputation that speaks for itself. As you can see, our patients report rave reviews about our practice.

I just finished my 4th appointment with Dr. Awosika today and another prescription drug has been reduced to halfthe daily amount! Also, within 3 months of following his diet and exercise directions my GFR went from 44 up to 60! I know of others who’ve had such success. He and his staff are very professional, friendly and easy to talk to. I highly recommend Dr. Awosika.

Douglas P.

My back story is that I had a non-functional kidney for many years, which symptoms has been misdiagnosed as GI problems until I ended up in the ER with severe pain, and required emergent removal of that kidney. My experience with my previous Nephrologist was not the greatest, mostly because any time I would discuss my concerns about my kidney health, he simply said that I’m young and have nothing to worry about. A friend referred me to Dr. Awosika, and I have never been happier about her suggestion to see him. He always listens to my concerns, sends me for testing related to those concerns, and looks at my test results before saying everything is ok. He considers lifestyle changes before suggesting medication, if appropriate. I truly appreciate his dedication to patient care and would recommend him to any of my friends and family.

I met Dr. Awosika about 4 years ago when I was a patient at Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Florida. At the request of my doctor, I followed up with a visit to his office. He provided me with detailed information regarding the issues with my kidneys and set a goal for me to achieve. Over the years my kidney functions have greatly improved due to the diet, medication and instructions he provided. I have encountered nothing but professionalism from Dr. Awosika over the years I have visited him and his staff has exercised nothing but the same.

When my doctor told me I was being referred to a kidney specialist I was very nervous and apprehensive for my first appointment. From the moment I entered Dr. Awosika’s office I was greeted with the most cheerful and fun people that made me feel like I had been there many times before. I cannot tell you how much this helped me get passed that initial fear. Thank you all….you are the very best!
